The modern town came together after an amalgamation of multiple smaller towns, each with unique features: farms, antique shops, Lake Simcoe, and the old town of Innisfil, which featured a commercial downtown core. Amalgamation and expansion brought the opportunity to leverage our small-town culture and history with new economies of scale and our close proximity to Toronto. The result is a rural alternative to big cities.
We have the same (or faster!) high speed internet, strong support for entrepreneurship and the tech ecosystem, and millions of dollars already committed to building Innisfil into an even more future-focused town

Where is Innisfil?
Only 45 minutes from Toronto and an hour from Muskoka, Innisfil is perfectly placed between cottage country and city life.
- 10 minute drive to city amenities in Barrie (a city of 150,000+ people).
- 25 minute drive (or less) to three major hospitals and tons of other healthcare clinics.
- 1 hour drive (or less) to: Toronto, Muskoka, Blue Mountain, and Collingwood.
- 15 minutes (or less) walking to the beach at Lake Simcoe.
- Uber anywhere in Innisfil or take the GO Train to Toronto.
